I received some of the best news of my life this morning: GAVIN DEGRAW IS COMING TO NEBRASKA! There are two bits of bad news though: 1) He is the special guest for Dave Matthews Band and 2) The show is at the Quest Center in Omaha. Omaha sucks. While Lincoln is no picnic either, Omaha is just crappy, the drivers are crappy, most of the bars are crappy, and Crappy Creighton is there too. Basically, Omaha is useless. It does amuse me how it tries to be a big city, but has to include all the suburbs to even reach the 600,000 mark. You want a REAL big city? Look at Minneapolis/St Paul then, the Twin Cities have Omaha beat, hands down, no competition.
But back to the topic at hand: GAVIN DEGRAW.
I am contemplating getting tickets. The only problem is that they will be really expensive because it is with DMB, and everyone and their brother LOVES DMB, so tickets are going to sell fast. As a side note, what is the obsession with DMB or Ben Folds? Everyone here seems to really love one or the other but never both. I, on the other hand, choose to dislike both, and if forced to choose (by forced I mean a gun would literally have to be held to my head to get me to even make this choice to begin with) I honestly do not know which one I would pick. But given the fact that I love Gavin DeGraw with all my heart and soul, I could sit through the concert, because I certainly would not spend all that money to only go to half the concert.
Now, let's look at my potential concert-going partners:
Drake - The Boyfriend, of course. Highly unlikely however, for three reasons: 1)He's in the Ben Folds camp; 2) Gavin is on The List and Drake said he couldn't be because The List has to be people you have almost no chance of meeting and I DID meet Gavin 3) I once told Drake that I had a dream that I married Gavin DeGraw and he just stood on a pedestal in the corner and sang to me and played his guitar and piano all day (this is probably not a good thing to tell your boyfriend, no matter how unlikely the dream is of coming true, I know that now)
Brittany - The Partner in Crime, a definite possibility, because she likes DMB, though I am not sure on her opinion of Gavin. Knowing Britt, she would say she hates him just because she knows I love him so much. That's why I adore her.
Teetz - The Best Pal, again a definite possibility for the Gavin DeGraw factor, though he did say when we went to see Gavin and Howie back in July that he likes Howie better. Plus, I do not know if he even likes DMB, so it will difficult to convince him to spend the money. However, I can usually sucker him into most anything, so this possibility is probably the best of the three. If I can convince him to let me lick his calves, I am sure I can convince him of this too.
Speaking of my little Teetzy Weetzy, guess who has a date on Thursday! I don't know her but he assured me she is not fat or retarded so I am trusting his judgment. I am very happy about him having a date, except for one problem: He won't let me dress him! Last night we were watching SVU (FINALLY!) and he said no because my idea of dressing him would be to go shopping and buy new clothes. Duh. Now that I think about it, he spent a lot of money on clothes recently, there's no reason he can't spend more on concert tickets so I have decided yes, I will make Teetz go with me. But back to his date, yes, I want to pick out his clothes because I am good at that. Not that he needs a lot of help, he dresses better than most guys I know, but he can't just look good, he has to look goooooooood. He always looks regular good, but this is different, this is a DATE and Everyday Good and Bar Good are different from Date Good. But he won't let me wax his eyebrows. In fact, Drake said no too. I think men should really consider this a priority in their lives even though I know they never will. Guys in general: You have two eyes, you should have two eye brows. Teetz and Drake: Mostly I want to wax yours just for fun, not because you need it, it would just amuse me a whole lot.
Days Until "FRIENDS: The One With All Ten Seasons" comes out on DVD: 40!!!!
(Speaking of, the price has no gone up on Amazon :(. It was on sale for pre-ordering at roughly $200. Now it is up to $233. Boo, you whores at Amazon)

Yeah, I'm not really a big follower of either of those guys' music. I just had that 5000-foot Dave poster because Drew gave it to me and I like tie-dye. I also liked it because it was taken at an awful angle and they chose that one to print anyway. I know Gavin had that one song out on the radio, or maybe two. I can't remember. At any rate, I'm a little behind!
It's not as much fun going to concerts where you don't know the songs and everyone else does. Let me know when you want to see some REAL rock stars. Hee hee. :)
